Getting Started

Belgian refugees in Alexandra Palace, London (own collection)

The newly established Centre for Research on Belgian Refugees (CRBR) aims to bring together researchers who work in the field and people with related or complementary interests.

In its first phase the Centre aims to focus on dissemination of research information about Belgian refugees, mainly those of the First World War and in the United Kingdom, but not exclusively.  In a second phase the Centre will act as a hub for harvesting data (such as personal stories and archive material) and provide an overview of whereabouts of Belgian refugees. A further purpose of the CRBR is to collaborate with related Centenary projects.
